The World/Ethnic style of Kennebec is a sonic treat I'm continuously fond of and on "Abundance", that aesthetic is literally found in abundance.
Kennebec is an American artist newly signed to Night Time Stories, sister label of Late Night Tales. Bonobo and Faeker are among the first artist I think of when I listen to this by virtue of the heavy inclusion of ethnic sounds. Pads and frantic percussion arrangements linger in the background here whilst flutes and guitars remain acquainted with the foreground. The overall vibrancy of the instrumentation lends itself to the feeling of being in a paradise-like environment. When it comes to depicting scenery, Kennebec truly got it spot on.
