Jesse Kendl is back! The electronic producer who won my heart thanks to his mystic energy "Manyara" back in 2019 returns stronger than ever with the first single from his upcoming EP Chasing Bliss.
Kendal grew up in Australia, surrounded by music, observing his mother teach woodwinds. Self-taught, he fell in love with playing drums and ended up playing jazz in his youth. Something that layed the foundations of his music production later on. From his Melbourne studio, Kendal creates music that connects and heals, inspired by artists like Nils Frahm, George FitzGerald, and Stimming.
"As You Are" kicks off with a blissful minimalistic piano theme, backdropped against spacious cinematic violins. A soothing prelude to the full-blown energy that develops further down the composition. Jesse has always been deft when it comes to telling a story with sounds.
When it comes to the track, Kendl elaborates, "The idea for this track kicked off earlier this year, while I was going through some internal conflicts and I feel that it has been part of a healing process for me. The process of creating music has always required me to dig deep within myself to produce something that feels true to me—uncovering emotions and a part of me I need to experience in order to attain a better sense of self and move through life more authentically."
"As You Are " has been mastered by Zino Mikorey who has previously worked with legends like Nils Frahm, Rival Consoles, and Christian Löffler, so we're certainly in good hands.
Not sure about you, but I love this first taste of Chasing Bliss. A journey we'll be keeping an eye on.
