Kelela's second album Raven released last week on Warp Records is something I've been expecting for a long time (it's been 5 years since her last album) and needless to say I was not disappointed. Without going into too much detail about the intricacies of the release (which I recommend everyone to check out), I will just say that Kelela delivered a perfect mix of R&B and dance music.
The last single she dropped leading up to the album release was "Enough for Love", and this track is very representative of the vibe that the whole album has. This is a less dancey track compared to the others in the release. The build-up of the track and very intricate production (those synths for the win) are both very representative of the entire album, that's why I deemed it a good example of the kind of sound to expect from Raven.
"Enough for Love" is emotional and all kinds of vulnerable, posing the ultimate question: "Are you tough enough for love?"
