From the get go, I could immediately hear the influence of 'A Tribe Called Quest' leaking from my speakers the second I tapped play... Particularly Q-Tip.
I'm not just saying that just to make a comparison, although the magic decorated within this instrumental and flow contains a nostalgic quality which gives Day 2 Day a 'classic' feel. Ultimately the track highlights a story of an artist escaping the grips of the city limits, from peer pressure to the fears that come with living in an urban jungle. I love how K3's high pitch voice's pierces through the instrumental, easily lodging his voice into the lime light. If you're into late 80's or even early 90's Hip Hop, this is certainly for you.
