If you need some inspiration for writing a beautiful love letter to yourself, “By Myself” is a good start. It will remind you that sometimes you’d rather keep your energy and spend some time with yourself and that there’s nothing wrong with being single.
The track is by Canadian singer/songwriter Miranda Joan, whose gorgeous vocals complement perfectly the mesmerizing funky instrumental, created by US keyboardist and songwriter K-Magic. He shares:
I wrote the first section of the song when I was trying to make an Instagram story of myself playing some soulful piano. I liked it so much I decided to flesh it out into a full song... It's a new direction for my music, with more of a pop aesthetic than my last couple of releases.
A really pleasant result of this successful collab, I would say.
