Today I'm waking up with a very special and intimate track created by producer and beatmaker DYVN, who we've extensively covered on Stereofox, and his talented partner JYN. "Fantasy" is the first track of a project they are releasing next year.
Not sure if everyone would agree, but somehow the song feels like it has some Japanese city pop/r&b influences and while it may feel distantly funky and playful, it goes a lot deeper on a personal level for both David and Julia. Unfortunately, the couple recently went through a very difficult time, losing their beloved daughter Zoë Love during pregnancy. They elaborate, "So the lyrics are intentionally kept ambiguous, playing with the idea of what if Zoë would've lived and came home with us.". Her memory will live on forever through this beautiful creation.
