When Josh worked up the instrumentation for the Expectations Remix I knew I wanted the song to hold that same sentiment of the intimacy and yet, with a fleeting feeling of love. The song feels close and distanced at the same time and I think that really captures the essence of being this fool in love, potentially knowing the heartbreaking outcome anyway.
