"Brocken Spectre" not only marks the long-awaited return for just big hills, but it's also the first single off his upcoming album via College Music.
The Dutch producer had made quite a name for himself in the lo-fi hip-hop scene with his calming, emotive beats. "Brocken Spectre" however showcases just big hills' trip hop and electronic influences in such an enchanting manner. He tosses listeners into a whirlwind of atmospheric synths and dreamy guitars, while we're compelled to groove by the hard-hitting drums.
"The sound is more mature, the harmonies more tense and dissonant and the themes of the album will focus more on growth, hopelessness, feelings of liminality, and the love surrounding our human connections", shares just big hills.
