The kick on the 3 comes in a little bit early compared to the kick on the 1 - and this simple time shift honestly made me fall in love with the whole song. Percussive embellishments accentuate this Dilla reminiscent beat too with the shakers and the rides playing their part in the groove. Melodically Josh pulls from Jazz influences and decorates "Clubber Lang" with dreamy synth textures too.
