The latest release from Josef Akin "Enymore" comes as quite a surprise. Not because of his timing, but because of the direction he's taken to sonically illustrate his feelings.
UK-based musician, producer, and composer is known for his eclectic brand of nu jazz that tends to invite elements of afrobeat and Latin jazz. "Enymore" is nothing like this. Here he's created a sort of "psychedelic nu jazz" that's defined by spacey pads and intense echoes that flutter throughout the mix. This feeling of dreaminess is beautifully accentuated by his calming vocals - and I should add it's one of the first times we get a chance to hear his comforting vocals on a track.
