This was the first time I had the pleasure to be introduced to the music of Berlin based electronic artist Clara Grüner a.k.a jolunar and I must tell you that this for sure won’t be the last time I am going to listen to her art.
“summon” is an electronic, downtempo 4:13 minutes long masterpiece. The slow burning analogue piano which blends with the groovy Bonobo’s kinda-clap beat is the perfect combination, dark, yet amazingly beautiful. I assume that the lead vocal is Clara’s voice, which tells the listener a minimalistic story and immerses him into a cosmic trip. The strings are the desert in this gentle piece of music.
