Jesse Koolhaas has created one of those tracks where you can't entirely define what you're listening too, but all you're doing is grooving along to it since it's that good.
What really helps solidify the groove and makes "Matrix" quite a fascinating listening experience is the manner in which the drums have been arranged. They're very unorthodox with live hits peppered in amongst endless layers of various percussion. There also isn't a clear melody, allowing one to become fully absorbed by the eerie ambient textures ornamented around the stereo field.
