A great start of Monday.
Jerk's new single "Rise" will melt you with its mesmerizing sax & chilled beatwork.
I fell in love with the meaning behind it:
I work in Manhattan from 9:30 to 6. On the off hours, I make music. Getting into a creative headspace takes time. It’s usually 8 o’ clock when I finally begin. The sun is setting, the neighbourhood is getting quiet, and my anxiousness from the day begins to fade. I usually practice the saxophone until 9 and write and produce into the night. For me, this is the rise - when worries fade and I am able to just create.
"Rise" is the first single out of his upcoming beat-tape Pressing On.
