New York natives jacuzzi jefferson and Chris Mazuera caught my ear back in 2020 thanks to their 4-track EP For Real which showcased a production maturity and the ability to create instrumentals that stand out.
Given their growth, it is no surprise that the talented duo got to collaborate with one of hip hop's GOATs - Wu Tang's Ghostface Killah. "heavy" is a blend of classic sample-based boom bap energy with lush live instrumentation and it feels like there's no one else who can deliver the perfect flow t han GK himself.
"heavy" is part of jacuzzi jefferson's brand new album dumbmachine which was released on February 7th via mmhmm recordings. The 12-track record features a galaxy of collaborators and vocalists and it marks a new stepping stone in his career.
