It's the sunset where I am at the moment, but this is so gorgeous, it breaks the time difference between people.
Kiwi neo-soul artist Jack Page will firstly seduce you with his honey-like voice, gliding fluidly on top of that mesmerising jazz instrumental. He elaborates on the meaning behind the track:
"Sunrise" is about wondering how a relationship went wrong when all started out so great. It speaks of the trials of the relationship and why it's so hard to move on - pretty cliché really. "Sunrise, and I wake up just to see your face."
It'll be pretty hard for me to move on from this r&b/soul beauty. But at least it will make a good excuse for a stay-in Friday night.
"Sunrise" is Jack's debut single from his upcoming EP The Days, Pt. 1 (and yeah, there will be Pt. 2 in 2020, as well).
