Lately, I've been really vibing with our Essential Electronica playlist for travelling and a great piece to get the sense of it is Jacana People's new single "Fara".
"Bittersweet electronica & organic textures" is what they call their music and "Fara" takes things to another level - it is inspired by the spacious approach of Japanese environmental music (Kankyō Ongaku) but supported by a solid stellar groove. They share:
"Fara" is largely informed by momentum. The sound of flowing water, shifting motifs and a disarming vocal chop, all underpinned by the promise of a more hopeful 2021. Like the ripples of the tide, "Fara" surges forward and falls back in oceanic waves, offering both swelling optimism and space for quiet reflection.
