Recently Jacana People has undergone quite a sonic evolution, and one of the tracks that highlight this sentiment is their soulful gem "Back Home".
With the cohesive aesthetic of their recent artwork and their newly refined sound, it’s likely that the UK-based duo has an EP on the horizon and we can't wait. "Back Home" surely stands out in their catalog thanks to its fascinating rhythm section - they've paired vibrant percussion with electronic-sounding/808-sounding drums, something we don't often hear from them. Floating in the foreground are these heavily distorted soulful vocals that complement the track's moody atmosphere. This is certainly my faverite release from the two so far and I'm quite delighted to hear what's next!
