Been some time since we had our friend J. Roosevelt in our fox feed, but her new single "Firefly Canyon" is an absolute must-hear.

Inspired by many sunset hikes, morning drives, and hazey afternoons, the piano-driven chillhop is the perfect ease into a work-intense week (for those who are not on holidays at this time of the year).

It’s a combination of synths and live instruments, nature sounds recorded from various locations, and a few late nights arranging in my home studio. Following up on my last single ‘Sandalwood’ which has accumulated over 6 million streams to date, my main goals were to compose a song that told a story, and to progress as a musician—inching myself into that uncomfortable space of releasing another song into the world.
