This next track, besides instant goosebumps, reminds me of the months spent in Southeast Asia. Waking up at dawn, re-charged and hungry for more exploration and adventures. It's not any specific instrumentation or influence, but more the energy of "Thinking/Feeling". J Flint's masterpiece has this natural essence of mystery engraved in its core and one cannot escape from it.
This is the first time I stumble J Flint and his work, and while little is known about the artist, "Thinking/Feeling" marks the release path of his upcoming debut EP. Born in Central California, J spent years working with other fellow artists and traveling until 2015 when a tragedy compelled him to return to his hometown. During this subsequent period spent with his family, shielded from the pressures of the outside world, Justin gained a new perspective. He discovered the art of healing and the importance of slowing down, allowing him to see beyond the societal expectations imposed upon him by both his surroundings and the world at large.
All of this can be felt while listening to the experimental, yet healing nature of "Thinking/Feeling". To me, the whole experience feels like a cleansing. Honestly, it has been a while since I've felt so calm after listening to music. It's been stressful lately and I very much needed such a hypnotic experience in my life. I hope it helps all of you too.
