Ivy Sole is back and she's on fire!
"One More Night" is Ivy's next single since her "Dangerous" back in May. A spacey, synth-heavy slow jam together with the amazing Topaz Jones, delivering stellar bars together with Ivy. The perfect example of r&b meets soul meets hip hop.
This also marks the announcement of her CANDID album, due Feb 2 on Ivy's own Les Fleurs Music - with both "Dangerous" and "One More Night" in. She explains:
CANDID explores the many ways I find myself endeavouring towards truth and clarity, and One More Night is no different. It’s a song that speaks directly to the woman I had in mind, but still gives room for the listener’s imagination,” explains Sole about the inspiration behind the track, “The song itself came out of the essence of someone appearing in your mind without you actively deciding to invite them there, and the longing that ends up dictating how you act upon the memories, images and feelings that are brought out from that initial spark. Topaz and I produced it together, which makes it even more special to me...
The track comes with a stunning visual directed and edited by Ivy herself. She elaborates:
I wanted the video to appear straightforward, but for there to be subtle cues that makes the viewer question what they’re seeing. That’s really where it came from... I wanted to play a little bit with optical illusion. Because the album is about engaging in truth, we have to consider illusions to be a foil. The biggest accomplishment for me is that the video is sexy without being overt, which is really what I’ve been trying to accomplish since I started making music about the more intimate parts of my life.
