In my opinion, Ivan Ave is a great example of this. He proves this yet again with his new single titled "Gear". The last single from his upcoming EP Mid Season, which is being released on the Norwegian label Mutual Intentions where he is a household name.
Punchy drums pave the way for slick raps that effortlessly blend together with vocal harmonies and mellow 80s style synth sounds - this track really embodies a nice mix of neo soul vibes with hip hop flavor.
