Wow... This is my first introduction to the marvelous sounds of IHF and honestly, I don't think I've heard anything like this.
Vibe wise "It Wasn't Enough" is quite reminiscent of some deep cuts of James Blake or even Aiwake, though when it comes to IHF's production, this stellar artist is definitely in his own lane. I loved the subtle granular synthesis peppered in various moments of the track, plus the percussion colored the stereo field and provided a steady rhythm when it came to the drum sequencing. I can't neglect to mention how the overall atmospheric mood we're welcomed to beautifully compliments the soothing vocals - especially towards the end when a bulk of the instruments fall silent and all we're left with are immersive pads and IHF's warm voice to comfort us.
