While Ian Gwinnup's "Miami-Dade" is not my typical sound, there's something so catchy about the work of the US singer/songwriter, I couldn't stop playing the track on repeat.
Inspired by artists like Jack Johnson and Mac DeMarco plus blending some lo-fi, r&b and bass elements, the 29-years old musician does feel like a breath of fresh air. This feels like what commercial music should sound like in order to be awesome. Hope this does not come off too snobby. But yes, my point being is - this is cool!
The track is taken off his new release Bedroom Tapes Vol 1. Definitely explore further if you dig his sound.
