The progression of Honey Mooncie's "Should've Been You" is one that is very wholesome by virtue of the various shifts of energy and vocal performance.
Mooncie's vocals on here feel really pristine and you can tell she's young, though just by the manner which she uses her voice, this is surely an exhibition of her aptitude. The crazy transition towards the bursting electric guitar and percussion was a moment which truly caught my attention on here. Especially embellished with what sounded like bells. Part of the reason why the production was so impressive is thanks to the contribution of Tobie Tripp.
Imagine Jorja Smith, but more on the acoustic side of things. I bet you'd love this.
