I Let Go

HNNY's sophomore album Light Shines Through is a celebration of the type of aerial music that has the ability to bring back hope in humanity and serves as a reminder that life can be beautiful.

9 years is a long time, but the break the Swedish producer took between his debut LP Sunday and Light Shines Through, and while he has released several EPs and singles in the meantime, this is the first lengthy body of work he has put out.

I would dedicate this "I Let Go" write-up to my amazing wife who is the reason why I discovered the track and who was quick enough to show it to me on Friday when it came out. Ever since I heard the song I find myself constantly drawn to it. I am aware every person experiences music in its own way, but to me, this feels like a safe space and it almost brings me to tears of joy knowing I have this sonic shelter I can always fall back to when I feel stressed. Similar to the feeling of warmth, love, happiness, and appreciation of having her in my life.

I hope you love the record as much as I did, and hopefully, it adds this blissful feeling that everything will be okay which I experienced.
