Always happy to get a track from our mates at Well Overdue Recordings. Today we start with some peaceful a blend of downtempo, r&b and hip hop, crafted by artists that need no introduction - Hemai and B-ahwe. These 2 are the embodiment of talent.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Hemai back . "Feet Will Fall" is his first solo release since his debut album Strange Beauty dropped via Tru Thoughts last year, which was championed by titans like Gilles Peterson, as well as receiving support across BBC Radio 1, Worldwide FM & Jazz FM and written press via Clash, Earmilk & Wordplay.
Utilizing B-ahwe silk-driven captivating vocals, the instrumental reminds me of early Bonobo. Tons of tiny percussions and a mindful ambiance. Speaking of the vocals, I can't stress enough how much I love her work. I laughed when I read her Spotify bio - "trip-hop Kate Bush". Sums it up!
