After a slew of EPs and prominent singles, the renowned Dutch DJ and electronic producer Helsloot finally unveiled his debut album Never Tried this year.

Most discover Helsloot through his hit single with Tinlicker "Because You Move Me", although when they dive into his discography, they'll be pleasantly astounded to find his sound goes beyond the realms of deep house. In fact, Never Tried beautifully captures his sonic diversity as Helsloot swims through melodic house, nu disco, and melodic techno. One of the stand-out moments is certainly the album opener "Mirrors".

This behemoth of a track has this larger-than-life feel to it thanks to it's anthemic buildup that eventually unites listeners with feelings of euphoria. I also can't neglect to mention the glossy sound design that makes this gem quite difficult to overlook. If you enjoyed this, I'd urge you to dive into the entirety of the project.
