Hayden Calnin has been quite an often guest on Stereofox, and it was one of the most fascinating things ever to watch the artist evolve. He has been delivering one EP after another, his sound was becoming more "adult" and polished, and, finally the release the debut album. Overall, he has made quite a name for himself.
I have picked this particular track from Cut Love Pt 1 as it reminds me the most about his early work. "Small Leaf" very delicate and fragile (the title sort of suggest that), with soft signature Bon Iver-ish vocals, and filled with emotions. Very simple arrangement of piano and distant claps makes it even more delicate and touching. It's the kind of track when everything pauses around when you're listening to it. Perfect Sunday listen.
