Simmerdown has utterly transformed Harry K's energetic "The Way I Feel About You" into a progressive, relaxing experience that's perfect for sunsets and winding.
My first encounter with Simmerdown was from her woozy single "vali [date] me" via Eton Messy Records. What's also fascinating is that I discovered Harry K through the same label with his 2021 release "The Deep End". On Simmerdown's rendition of "The Way I Feel About You", her signature brand of shuffling percussion is decorated throughout the release while the vocals from the original offer a soulful charm. In many ways, this is reminiscent of Bonobo in his mid-to-late 2010s era and possesses a comforting, introspective feel to it.
