Even though I'm not a fan of all of Haquin's works, after hearing "Vines" and a few of his latest creations, I have come to highly respect this man as an artist.
In his recent works, he has displayed a beautiful sense of bravery as he not only hops from genre to genre, but also ushers in unique arrangements in such a daring fashion. On "Vines" with Sandy Finlayson the pair dish out the kind of nu jazz that's oozing with soul and elegance.
This honestly sounds like a deep cut from Bonobo's Black Sands LP, and you'll hear exactly why I make such a comparison the moment you reach the track's closing moments.
