Gravity Proof's cover of Aphex Twin's "Avril 14th" intended to maintain the nostalgic and serene mood of the original - and he seamlessly did just that even though he's replaced Aphex's keys with warm synth tones.
This is the kind of track that prompts you to stop what you're doing as it not only ensnares your attention, but also immerses you into it's soundscape. Honestly this is mostly likely one of the catchiest ambient track I've come across in a while!
I've always loved this track, and it's always stood out from Aphex Twin's catalog for NOT having synths. I wanted to do a synth based version that still captured the nostalgic / peaceful vibe of the original track.
