“Don’t Let Me Float Away” has quite an alluring romantic undertone to it which seamlessly tugs on the attention of the listener, however the track is more so a reflection of self-love rather than a ‘ballad’ between two people.
Lyrically Grace opens up about being present as a form of healing after a long period of musical and artistic burnout. The whole aspect of healing ones self through art subtly touches on self-love and self-care, and Grace delivers this in such a comforting manner thanks to the silky-smooth vocal delivery complimented by guitars in the distance. I also really enjoyed the fact that the listening experience as a whole is dreamy and has the potential to transport the listener to a different headspace.
