Creating the perfect blend of house, disco, and feel-good dance music, Girls of the Internet is a project that transcends genders, sexualities, and body types. Since debuting with When U Go (2017, via Solomon's Classic Music Company), they’ve quickly risen in the electronic scene, known for their eclectic, disco-infused garage-meets-house sound.
Drawing inspiration from Eighties Ladies's album Ladies of the 80's by Eighties Ladies, the group embraced a name that challenges perceptions. “I loved the concept and wanted to do something similar with Girls of the Internet,” says one of its founding members Tom Kerridge. “I wanted a name that plays with gender and subconscious misogyny - something abstract yet meaningful.”
Girls of the Internet released their highly anticipated When I Was Lost, I Found Myself album at the end of 2024 after a 4-year break, and today we celebrate their first single of 2025 titled "Make U Mine". The first time I heard the song I felt an instant rush of positive energy and the desire to do intrinsically good. "With a more stripped back club-focussed sound, we fused Garage, 90's Armand Van Helden & Todd Edwards influences, with lush chords recorded on vintage keys and a bumpy MPC 2000XL beat with heartfelt vocals floating on top.", the group elaborates.
Instant and absolute must-add to our feel-good dance playlist selection.
