A futuristic dose of neo-soul, "Let Go" by multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer Geo Jordan pairs modern, jazz-inflected production with Geo’s own soaring vocals. The track marks his second single release in quick succession, set to feature on his forthcoming Technicolour EP - a record that details his journey of self-discovery and expression as a trans artist.
The track doesn't waste anyone's time - right from the start it jumps into the musical storytelling with a smooth vocal line, followed by the ever-evolving drums and synths. A laid-back minimal beat doesn't stay in the way of the soulful performance but adds a brilliantly sexy r&b flavor. Alongside the heartfelt romantic message of the lyrics, the track offers some subtle melodic textures bringing the groove to life and widening soundscape.
“‘Let Go' is a song about that initial spark you get when meeting someone. It can be something so explosive, but yet brooding with that intensity and tension (the good kind of course). I wanted to make a track that captured that tension, and that bright, dreamy and exciting feeling that you get in those situations when there is chemistry.”
"Let Go" is accompanied by a black-and-white visual edited by Geo himself, which sees him making expressive movements around a studio room. You can check it out here!
