Following a mind-blowing collaboration with fellow Berliner Johnny Kulo ("i already knew"), fraen continues the journey towards her highly anticipated EP how’s your summer been?
The talented singer/songwriter, accompanied by producer Kemelion, created a ballad that carries this tingling, crippling feeling that will shake you to the core. That's the kind of song you just can't get out of your head. Ever since I first heard it, it's been stuck in the back of my mind, so I'm glad I have the weekend to really explore that repeat button on our website. I do appreciate the different energy on this one because of the strong presence of that electric guitar.
Francesca elaborates, “This song has a dark subtone, which I love. I watched someone be very unhappy because they couldn’t decide to let go of something that wasn’t good for them anymore. I wanted to imply, “Be honest to yourself, and listen to your heart.” But I also knew that I couldn’t push that situation, and the person had to decide for themselves; hence, “help yourself.”
In the end, the song gets bigger, louder, and more intrusive. I love that big finale very much. I recently heard a song by SiR, which sounded like an answer to this song. The song is called “You can’t save me”. It gave me goosebumps.”
Fraen, if you read this - your song gave me goosebumps. Thank you for that.
