I've been following Boiler Room for quite some time and the guys know who to invite to play sets. This is a pretty great idea of inviting electronic artists to play a set and then upload it to youtube, soundcloud and make it downloadable most of the time as well. They have pretty much covered all of my favorite artists and just when I think someone hasn't played on Boiler Room I found out he did. The only disappointment sometimes is the crowd, who gets there by invitation only and most of the time seem to be not exactly excited about what is going on in front of them.I would be losing my mind there.
This time it's the 45 minutes mix by Flume, who has recently been on the rise. He is another talented Australian (oh man, this will never stop!) and collaborated with artists like Chet Faker, toured with the xx and has released his debut album in 2012, which he wrote himself before he even turned 21. Pretty damn awesome if you ask me.
His Boiler Room mix is just pure, concentrated dopeness. Luckily, all of this mix is just his own tracks (except for only one I guess) and he is a very good proof that the Australians are good not only at indie music. Oh those beatmaking wunderkinds..
