Week's always good if I find something out of my normal genres and Fever Joy are definitely such stellar find!
If you dig low key indie, thick bass lines, catchy melody and vocals to kill for, then the L.A. trio will be your next favourite thing. Their debut single, "Shots," is the kind of song to blast early in the morning while getting ready to face the world out there.
The band's "origins" actually stem far from L.A. Raised in Indonesia by Missionary parents, singer Avery Robitaille was 18 when she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. While performing at an open mic in Orange County, California, she met the remaining members of Fever Joy, Sean Baker and Kevin Holm. The result - this glorious tune I've been listening on repeat for the past hour or so!
