Hazy summer afternoons are no fun without a soundtrack to cruise along with.

I'm very excited to share with you the immense talent of 2 great beatmakers - US-born, London-based faff and Dutch drummer/instrumentalist extraordinaire lightheart who you may know as DESH. Anna and Nadesh are 2 key figures in the contemporary beat scene and a reason to be excited about the future of the genre, regardless of the ongoing problems in it.

Faff began her journey in the beat scene in 2021 and quickly amassed millions of streams across DSPs. Her jazz-infused chillhop style has earned her spots on numerous editorial playlists, making her a notable figure in the jazzhop genre. Her collaborator on "Back Home," lightheart (aka DESH), is also prominent in the scene and someone we are always happy to have on the label family. Endorsed by Ziljan and TAMA drums, lightheart's distinctive drumming style enhances her own work and that of fellow producers.

Their ability to bottle jazz elements and channel through the prism of hip hop beatmaking is uncanny and I can't count the number of times I've hit the repeat button on "Back Home". It feels like catching up with an old friend over the summer holidays when time stands still.
