“Rodney” is the alluring new single from rising vocalist Espa. This new one sees her teaming up with long-time collaborator Erick Arc Elliott of Flatbush Zombies for a sensual jam that slowly builds tension and energy without ever speeding up the pace.
Espa's intimate vocals shine through once again while Elliot provides the perfect finishing touches with a gritty verse adding a murky atmosphere to the track.
Speaking on the track, Espa states:
“‘Rodney’ is my playful comment on modern day sexuality, the yin and yang of masculine and feminine energy. Every time Erick and I make a track together (whether it’s for him, me, Flatbush Zombies or The Underachievers), we explain less and create more. The unusual musical bond that we have is something I cherish and I am proud of our growing body of work. It’s an honour to have Erick feature on this track that he has produced for me.”
Espa’s debut EP 150th & Broadway was released late last year and her new EP LG60 will hit the web later this summer.
For now, listen to “Rodney” and get to know.
