Good old Soulection vibes.
Been catching up on the stuff they've been putting out and Elujay & j. robb's December drop GEMS IN THE CORNERSTORE caught my ear immediately. It's been 5 years since I first heard j. robb's work when he collaborated with eu-IV for "breakyouofff" and the dude has been hella consistent ever since. Everything he has put out and this album in particular showcases how versatile he is as a creator.
While I've picked "SWING THRU" for a feature, if you dig the whole neo-soul, future beats, and r&b wave, I highly recommend exploring the full release. The 2 artists sound very well-oiled together and as I mentioned, you can expect different, but equally fire-y sounds throughout the release. Another personal highlight is "GOLD BUDDHA" - by far the most trap-inspired track on the album.
