UK beatmaker, storyteller and proud-to-call label mate Elijah Nang returns with another Far East-inspired beat tape that certainly needs your attention.

Nang Soul, Vol.1 / Hanoko is a collection of 8 different, yet unified instrumentals created by Elijah's fascination with Japanese culture and music. Over the course of the next few days, I'll be highlighting some of my favourite beats from the tape, starting with the old school boom bap perfection "Way of the Samurai".

What I love about the beat in particular is the fusion of strings and hard-hitting drums. It has this yin-yang vibe to the whole composition that's bound to make you fall in love.
