It's a rare gift to be both vulnerable & empowering - but we've found a great example in the face of Eliezer.

The London-born, New Zealand-raised rapper returns with a new single, "Be Free", together with singer C3lest. The song is about "being free from the things that have been holding you back in life" and it will surely resonate with a lot of the listeners, thanks to Eliezer's powerful & honest storytelling (something he simply called "venting on a beat"). The beautiful jazzy keys & soulful samples, together with the classic hip-hop drums, create something you'll surely have on repeat for a while (I know I did).

He shares, "When I first started making music, I didn’t care about getting rich or famous, I just did it because I loved it. But somewhere along the journey I got lost and became obsessed with “winning”, whether that was becoming the biggest rapper in nz or whatever it might look like. Last year, god continuously taught me the lesson of letting go and detaching from outcome, and no better moment hammered this lesson home for me than when I journeyed to Thailand to have my first fight. It was an incredibly beautiful, challenging experience. I no longer want to attach to these superficial metrics of success, it’s okay to want to do things in life, like to win a fight or get a million streams, but not when that’s what you chase to get your sense of fulfillment or self-worth. Now, I know I’m winning if I’m doing the things I love, like making music I’m proud of and pushing myself to grow."

The official music video has him on the boxing ring, putting yet another layer to this lyrical masterpiece:
