PALLADIAN's rendition of Edamame's "Abacus" is a release that's laid-back, yet rich with emotion throughout its progression - particularly towards the end.
Edamame and PALLADIAN are two names that echo far and wide in the downtempo/electronica space, so seeing them work together is quite exciting. The original version of "Abacus" is heavily ornamented with organic textures. PALLADIAN on the other hand has brought an electronic influence to the track, plus their rendition plays out like a movie, particularly thanks to the cinematic break in the middle. I also loved the beefy rhythm section and how it chops and changes between 4/4 and a UKG-inspired section!
