UK based producer ed leigh introduces us to a sound that is reminiscent of Shlomo and Different Sleep but in a manner that leans towards Chillhop.
It's by far the shimmering lead that lures our attention to "melanchronic" as ed has chosen the sounds of what seems to come from a dream. This, paired with the tapestry of foley around the mix creates quite a warm and comforting feel - thus beautifully complementing this smooth bounce of the drums.
A complex and loving concoction inspired by one of ed’s best friends, “melanchronic” at first sounds like a chirpy and woozy stroll through the British wilderness, but repeat listens to the complex arrangement reveal some sadness coming through.
