Not long ago, we took a walk in the world of Dreamers Delight following his release of Lucid Anatomy on Lowtemp Music. From this metaphorical walk, we gathered impressions of colorful, wordly electronic music complemented by the sensation of coasting at the border between earth and space. Not bad for a four-track EP.
Out now is a song that delivers something similar, yet completely different than what we found in Lucid Anatomy. First, "Swirls" features electronic music producer & guitarist Cloudchord, whose rhythmical guitar strumming delivers a dreamy Tycho sound. Second, we get a precise production of acoustic-sounding percussion with spacey synths and that bass with depth. Packaged together, this collaboration effortlessly accessed feelings of innocence, nostalgia, and child-like fascination for simplicity.
Reed Krafft, the mind behind Dreamers Delight, is one to undoubtedly keep your ears on. Having just finished up a live show at Cervante's in Denver, CO along with Cloudchord, Krafft was joined on stage with some talented live musicians and avid collaborators. For a sold out show, Krafft took to the stage alongside Colby Buckler of Emancipator Ensemble on drums, Borahm Lee of Break Science on the keys, and Ryan Mahrer of Tortuga on guitar. Additionally, future funk master GRiZ showed up for a guest appearance at this performance for the cherry on top.
Do not sleep on Dreamers Delight (no pun intended) ... go cop a free download of "Swirls" featuring Cloudchord up top!
