The beauty of scouting for music is discovering those new, hungry, and talented young artists who could probably change the world. Meet 19-years-old Mason Timberline AKA Doo Jerty whose mission is to "bring jazz to rap and rap to jazz". His 4th-only song "Stop Snoring" kicks off with a long, piano-driven sample that initially I thought felt too long, but is the perfect build-up to a superb jazzy beat and flawless flow.
Inspired by Mac Miller, Smino, and Butcher Brown, Doo Jerty is certainly delivering on his promise. Everything about "Stop Snoring" is meticulous and will leave you wanting more of that jazz rap vibe.
