A few weeks after the review of the full Uncut Gems by Dillon and Diamond D, I thought of paying homage to the album and adding a few tracks to our music feed. Also, the team returned with a punch-themed video which every fan should watch. The video pays homage to the classic video game Mike Tyson’s Punch Out.

For me that's one of the album's most fiery tracks and the fact that it's featuring legendary Detroit hip hop veteran eLZhi is just cherry on top. You gotta love Diamond D's (as always) flawless work on the beat - those layered guitar riffs start with zero chill and won't let your head rest until the end of the beat. Pair this with some solid brass work and you've got the perfect wave for Dillon and eLZhi to ride towards greatness.

The track had incorporated Punch Out!! sound effects, but it's the visual elements that truly infuse vitality into it, largely owing to the contributions of key individuals. Tommy Nova skillfully directed and choreographed the dynamic fight sequences, while William Feagins Jr. masterfully edited and seamlessly integrated various elements, including graphics and text. Adding to the creative mix, Atlanta's esteemed figure Nuface portrayed Mario, taking on the role of the referee, and DJ Kerosene took up the mantle of Dillon's initial adversary.

"Comin' Out Swingin'" feels like a boxing match, so those gong samples are totally on point.

I turn a conscious rapper unconscious

I know it may sound weird, but the guitars on the track reminded me of the first time my dad played Led Zeppelin when I was a kid.
