Diamond Thug's latest release pretty much reminds me of the experience of being in the woods. The manner in which the vocals and instrumentation mingle in the stereo field create quite a serene mood, the kind that's perfect for a solitary late night drive.
Even though "The Woods" comes across as chilled, there's actually a pinch of attitude sprinkled within the electrifying chorus, and in the vocal delivery of the band's lead vocalist. There's certainly a latent anthemic charm that's present, and as soon as the bright synths get in on the mix near the end you're inspired to bomp your head back n forth like we see in rock concerts.
If you're into the older works of Still Corners, this is something for you.
