Hailing from South London, experimental pop-artist Daniel Woolhouse aka Deptford Goth is about to release his sophomore album Songs and he teases us with the two tracks from his album, "Two Hearts" being the latest one.
If you are familiar with what he has done before, you probably know that his music is quite gloomy and melancholic, so "Two Hearts" has become a positive change. The song is tender and warm and somehow evokes all the beautiful nostalgic things you might have on your mind. His heartfelt vocals coupled up with soft piano and misty synths result in a very sentimental beautiful track you want to get lost in.
"I’ve become more accepting of my voice, so it’s more prominent now, which led to structuring the songs in a more classic way. I also wanted people to hear the lyrics. It’s a process of being more upfront and honest. Life After Defo had bits of hope hidden inside but this one’s definitely more joyous. Instead of closing down I’m opening up and feeling more at peace with myself about certain things. "
