The newest release by Deadly Custard "Pulse" is a dark, immersive gem that opens up the gateway for moments of introspection with its moody progression.
Armed with a computer, a couple of synths and a field recorder, British designer and artist Jon Newton puts his particular spin on electronica. In many ways, the track "Pulse" sounds like a masterclass in sound design. The soundscape is expansive and the synths open and close in a manner that's gripping and dramatic. In fact, from start to finish, this feels like a movie thanks to the cinematic allure of "Pulse" - and this is quite reminiscent of acts like Max Cooper and Rival Consoles.
